Natural Resources Salon

I visited Natural Resources Salon a few years ago to have my hair evaluated and receive recommendations on a style and what I could do to make my hair healthier. After the initial consultation I tried to schedule an appointment to get my hair done but was told they did not have an opening and was placed on a so call waiting list. I called back several times after to schedule an appointment and there was never an opening. I told a friend of mine about my experience. We decided to see if this business would treat her the same way as they had treated me. My friend called, had an evaluation with a hair consultant and was able to get an appointment for a style right away. She cancel her appointment because she didn't want to do business with a salon that treated people like they had treated me.

I visited NHR 3-1-2017 Paulette was my stylist / there was another young lady that started my hair process but i do not remember her name. I must first off start by saying i will give the two 5 stars alone. Both ladies were very good, warm sense of humor. my experience was quite a experience. I came in one week for the consultation with Tamika the owner. We went over the plan for my hair. I was introduced to extension to fill in my problem area (the dome of my head ). I must admit i was sold. I had to purchase the hair from NHR cost me $104. I came bk the following week in the middle of the week because there wasn't any availability for Saturday until the second week of April per the receptionist. I was told my hair process would take 3/4hrs, so i decided i will go to work from the Salon

I've been getting my Locs done here since 2003. I'm on my 2nd Loc journey and Love it as much as the 1st journey. I only allow Monique to do my Locs. She's a Gem. I would highly recommend this black owned business by two highly respected and sweet business women, Tameka & Monique . Great Services, Handmade Hair Cair Items (Earth's Nectar), and reasonably priced. Thanks Ladies for all you do! ~Sadie💕

And I never even made it to the salon chair. Particularly around the holidays, demand service attitudes can be taken for granted analogous to a revolving door mentality like 'For everyone of you, I can book two.' Nowhere lost on supply and demand and how that dictates business. And no, I don't really care how long one has been in business either- it's about quality, not quantity. Over time service reveals itself, as does reputation. And not all will voice their experiences- good/ bad but I know I'm not the only one and surely not the last. Seems to be modus operandi here. Seeing as that someone else had a similar experience with NR where they felt their booking wasn't considered much of a priority- instead an easily replaceable noggin. I.e., like Apothecary/ Natural Resources Hair Salon

Amazing salon! I had not had my hair touched by a professional in over three years. I was nervous, to say the least, but from the phone call to schedule my appointment to the time I walked out of the door, I was pleased! Marissa took great care of my hair (I got the 1hr wash/condition/blowout/trim) and the products she used left my hair soft and silky. The salon itself is spacious and professional. There were a variety of stylists working with natural hair and it was a beautiful sight. I will definitely be coming back!
