Customer Reviews
My past two experiences at nails by porter have been great. There has been some inconsistency in the past. Ana did my nails with an espresso color and I was happy with the outcome and how she took her time with fixing impurities. Last time I got this warm gray color, can’t recall the name of my tech but she was amazing!
I’ve been to Nails by Porter three times. I’ve gotten dip powder twice and a regular manicure once. Unfortunately, each time the dip nails lasted only about 4–5 days before cracking, and by around a week in, the cracks were bad enough that pieces splintered off my nails. I do use my hands a lot, but at other salons my dip manicures typically last at least two full weeks, so this seems more like an issue with product quality and/or application than normal wear and tear. The first two visits, my dip nails were applied very thick, which I really didn’t like—especially once they started growing out and you could really see that edge. On my third visit, I asked for them to be filed down more, and they looked much better aesthetically. My technician was named Hayden, and visually the nails loo
I really hate to leave a negative review, but this was my first visit to nails by porter and I had a truly poor experience. I got a gel shellac remove and dazzle manicure, and the gel removal was so incredibly painful it caused me to tear up, and my nails feel over-dremmeled and paper thin. Plus, the nail polish applied over is incredibly bumpy and you can see ever ridge in my nail since they were not buffed smoothly. Overall, I cannot recommend getting those services here. Edit: it’s been 6 hours and my nails have already chipped
I stopped by this salon completely on a whim, I wasn’t even planning to get my nails done. I was just heading home, walked past, and thought, “Why not treat myself?” I didn’t look up reviews or anything beforehand, but I’m so glad I decided to walk in. I was seated right away, and the hospitality was amazing from the start. The nail technician (I wish I remembered her name!) was incredibly kind and sweet. She even offered me Mentos and water, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. I got dip nails with extensions, and the whole process took around two hours. I showed her a reference photo, and she got right to work—no hesitation, no confusion, just confidence and skill. She paid so much attention to detail, and the end result turned out beautifully. Overall, it was such a pleasant
Hayden was amazing! Very gentle with my cuticles and meticulous with the hard gel and color gel application. I love my nails! Ty
