I had high hopes when I walked into Nails by Mercedes. The staff was friendly, they accept walk-ins, and while I waited I was even offered a glass of wine, which was a nice touch. I asked for a buildable gel fill, needed two nails replaced that had chipped/broken, and chose a simple nude color. The nail tech did a great job and I was happy with how my nails turned out. Unfortunately, everything went downhill at checkout... I was told my total for just the fill was $98.64 BEFORE tip. I was genuinely shocked. I've had this exact service done at multiple salons in Orlando for $50-$60! For the price I paid at Nails by Mercedes for just a fill, I could have gotten a fill along with a pedicure anywhere else. I went in to get my nails done and chose one of the closest salons, thinking they closed at 8PM. When I arrived at 6:30PM, I learned they actually closed at 7PM. Two nail techs declined the appointment, which I completely understood, but the receptionist continued trying to find someone who would take me. Thanks to her effort, I was able to be seen — and the nail tech who accepted me deserves 5 stars. She was professional, patient, and did a beautiful job. I only wish I remembered her name. Love my nails and experience as always! Alyssa has been doing my nails for the past several years, her husband Kevin is always so warm and kind too! Mercedes is so sweet and a hoot! Abby is the best and runs a tight ship as front of house! She is inviting and kind and is always eager to help me pick out my next design! Love the location too, right in the heart of College Park!

My first time here and I loved it. My son got honor roll so he got a free service I also did my nails looks so natural from what I’m use to. The young lady that did my nails took her time she asked me a million times if I needed anything. I had 3 children with who they welcome and treated us with must respect. Thank you all
