I called ahead before my appointment and clearly explained the style I wanted, and I was given a price based on that. I even brought example images to make sure there was no confusion about what I wanted. Despite all this, I ended up with a completely different style—stitch zigzag part braids, which cost more than what I originally asked for. I would not recommend Nabou to anyone. While she is skilled at braiding, she simply does not listen to her customers. It genuinely felt like she was trying to charge me extra for a style I didn’t request. Ironically, she lost out, because I had planned to pay for my mother’s and sister’s hairstyles—and return every three weeks myself—but now, I won’t be back. I was looking for a braiding salon to get my hair done and I couldn’t find one but I came to this salon today and got my hair done and it’s my first time here and I love the braiders there. They are nice and kind and Friendly and I will be coming to them to get my hair done. I love how clean and nice the salon is. I love my hair and they did a really beautiful job.

Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and DISAPOINTING experience I came into this salon to support my cousin, who works there as a nail tech. She kindly offered to do my nails as family, using her own professional tools and materials (not the salon’s), and chose not to charge me. This is something many salons allow when it’s family or very close friends — especially when the technician is using their personal supplies. As I was leaving, the owner’s wife rudely questioned why I hadn’t paid, despite my cousin explaining that I was family and she was not using salon products. Instead of handling it privately and with professionalism, the owner’s wife escalated things unnecessarily. She called her husband, who then insisted I should have been charged. We had a truly great experience at this salon. I brought my young daughter in for a wash, detangle, and braids with extensions, and the care they showed was exceptional. The stylist was incredibly patient and gentle — taking time to detangle thoroughly without pulling or causing discomfort. My daughter usually finds hair appointments stressful, but she was relaxed and happy throughout. The braids came out beautifully: neat, clean, and clearly done with skill. It’s rare to find a salon that’s both child-friendly and delivers high-quality results, and I’m so glad we found this one. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be returning!
