Mr. Monk’s Barbershop

We visited Mr. Monks Barbershop for the first time on 8/6/25, and the experience was absolutely amazing. My 10-year-old son often struggles with anxiety when it comes to haircuts, but Dustin immediately made him feel comfortable and at ease. My son asked for a blowout taper fade, and Dustin delivered exactly what he wanted—spot on. In my son’s words: “10 out of 10 perfect!” We couldn’t be happier and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We just moved to St Augustine less than 2 weeks ago, and while out and about together, my husband got his hair cut. He has gone to many barber shops over the years, in several states, some quite good, but I can confidently say, this is hands down, THE BEST haircut he's ever gotten. Precision without overdoing it. Clean lines. Fantastic beard shaping. Rob did a great job. It was fascinating to watch. He used multiple techniques that I have never even seen before and we have 3 boys that also go to the barbershop. The atmosphere was enjoyable, the music selection was perfection and the conversation was interesting and enjoyable. Wow! What a great experience. I brought my 14 year old son to get a fade. Inside was extremely clean and all the gentlemen inside were just that… gentlemen. It was clean, professional, and light. We got Dustin and his skill was awesome. But really I’m sure we could have had anyone in the shop and they would have done a great job! We will definitely be back.

I scheduled appointments for my brother and I to get hair cuts and beard trims at Mr. Monk’s last weekend. This was our first time here, and my first hair cut in over a decade. When I called, Erica was friendly and was able to work me and my brother in. Their shop is clean and well appointed. It reminded me of an updated version of an old school barber. The staff there is awesome, and the tunes are great. I will definitely be a regular customer. Pictures are my before and after. Thanks Erica!

I take my ten year old here monthly. Both Erica and Dustin are incredible!! Super friendly, professional, great with kids, and he always leaves looking fresh!
