Moxie Hair & Body Lounge

Sage was great. I came in with a few ideas about what I did and did not want for my haircut, but I wasn’t super sure, and she helped me develop a sense of what I wanted and did a great job. Moxie is really nice overall, too. It’s a nice environment with easy parking.

My wife and I went here today for haircuts for the first time, and we both had an excellent experience with two different stylists that specialize in curly haircuts. We have found our new salon in Charlottesville!

Very unprofessional and rude staff. Do not go here to get any coloring done. The salon hires inexperienced stylists with little-no training, and will overcharge you for their mistakes. I had my hair completely destroyed here and upon asking for a fix-up the stylists rudley rushed through the color with no technique or regard for my request and added an extra $100 to the final price as a result of their mistakes. I would never recommend this place to anyone or return again.

Booked a dry cut. Stylist was 30 minutes late. Receptionists didn't give any updates while I was waiting and never acknowledged that it was taking so long. Took maybe five minutes for the haircut (with no wash, products, blowdry, etc) and they charged $80. Insane.

What a wonderful experience it was. Shalin, my operator, gave me a great feathery and short cut and color (using my own color product.) The staff was friendly, and attentive, the appointment timely and I will return as well as recommend Moxie to others. Plenty of parking and handicapped accessible.
