Derek was so lovely! He listened to I was going for and offered perspective on how to adjust that for my hair type and length. He also gave me great tips on taking care of my hair. I will be coming here from now on!

10/10. What a wonderful experience. This is the first haircut I have actually liked since I left Florida 10 years ago. The shop is beautiful, clean, and the hair dressers are friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly know curls!! And that is hard to find. I had an appointment with Derek, and he was a gem. He cut my hair gorgeously, patiently cared for it with the upmost curl expertise, and was so friendly and sweet. This is now my favorite place and I will never go for a haircut anywhere else in MA. I highly recommend! I commuted out from Somerville and it was worth it 100%.

I have naturally curly hair, which I never fully appreciated and always ended up blow-drying straight. I decided to give this salon a try in the hopes of finding a haircut that would allow me to embrace my curls. I’m so glad I did! I absolutely love the haircut, and for the first time, I truly enjoy wearing my hair in its natural curly state. Thank you for helping me embrace my curls and feel confident with them!

Derek did an incredible job bringing my 15 year old daughter's curly hair back to life! She is a swimmer and her hair is regularly exposed to chlorine. It needs to be washed daily - which can make it coarse and dry. He spent time addressing her hair concerns and giving her great tips on how to maintain her hair. Thank you, Derek!

Attached pics are before and after. It had been over a year since my last cut and I took a big chance, and at big expense, on this place. Absolutely amazing! What an experience, I feel like a new person. Derek was phenomenal in explaining how the Deva cut worked (dry cut), and took into consideration my routine and discussed the products I used regularly. The way he took such small pieces and shaped the whole look to what I had explained was awesome. Such great knowledge and guidance! From the cut, to the wash, to the condition, to the styling... just absolutely blown away. I cannot recommend Mop enough. Everyone I interacted with was kind, and Derek especially.
