Mommy's African Hair Braiding

i hate posting negative reviews but i hate getting scammed out of money even more. i sent a photo of what i wanted and what i left the shop with was a temu boneless dupe. im pissed and had to take it out next day. i spent $150 on nothing and invested in myself for a photoshoot. officially done with african hair braiding shops. those ladies in there are not STYLISTS, just braiders, which is fine but done accept a task you cannot fulfill. it’s never a good experience—from them braiding your edges off to the nonstop yelling in your ears. i asked for a partial refund and no answer. first two photos are my reference pics. last two are me. PISSED.

This was by far the worst place ever went to. I spent $300 $70 for fake human hair and $30 for nappy (braiding Hair) which was included in the $300 went home the same day that human hair had kinked up all over my head went back in to get redone. Then she wanted to charge me $200 more for changing the style I will never go back again. They also had me in there 10 hours one day and 10 hours the next day which was ridiculously insane. They also pick hair off the floor and put back in your hair if they drop it while braiding. I Don’t suggest their service to anyone. Poor customer service.

They’re really nice people but I had came to them two weeks prior to my birthday to get my hair braided. Was willing to leave a deposit to save my appointment I was told that wasn’t needed was assured I would be taken care of if I came on my birthday 2 hours before I start my shift at the check cashing place right by them. Spoiler alert I was told to come back another day. Sucks cause I’m a content creator and would’ve love to have sent my followers your way.

I’m always satisfied when I get my hair done here. They’re quick, and they follow directions. They are honest, if they can’t do a specific style, they will tell you who can perfect it. The shop is close to my home, so it’s super convenient for me. This is definitely my new, favorite braiding shop.
