I have been a customer of Coach Kimmy’s since about October 2025. I love long hair , I love layers .. All my life I have searched for someone who could cut long curly/ wavy hair with layers and make it easy for me to manage look good and enjoy. It wasn’t till Kimmy , I LOVE MY HAIR !!! I wear it curly, straight , wavy .. I wear hats and and helmets for skiing and my hair looks the BEST IT EVER HAS. I’ve never had a cut & color like this in my life! The salon is warm and cozy the staff is so nice, extremely accommodating and each one is absolutely beautiful inside & out. I just can’t say enough about this Salon . Coach Kimmy’s gift and it truly is a gift, the hair whisperer 😍 it’s like she knows exactly what each persons hair needs and how to cut it to fall so naturally and beautifully. She

This is my third time here at Modern Tekniques. I found the salon online, was instantly impressed with their website and especially stylist Alanna's Instagram photos. (@alannalee.artistry) The salon itself is cozy and charming. I always receive a warm welcome and their is just an upbeat vibe. Alanna is very genuine and loves what she does. She is very understanding if I have a million questions and is very knowledgeable. Her suggestions for color and styling have been much appreciated. Always an excellent and precise cut. I couldn't be happier and look forward to returning again and again.

I was a customer at this salon for color and cut. I have been having a problem with my neck, causing nerve pain affecting my scalp. The owner of the salon, Kimmy, worked on my hair and had an attitude the whole time because I needed some extra breaks and accommodations. 4 months later I made an appointment to comeback. Kimmy said she no longer is doing highlights and to try a stylist named Elle. I made an appointment with Elle for color and Jess for my haircut who has been cutting my hair. One day later I received a TEXT and EMAIL saying appointment denied. I immediately called the salon. They purposely ignored my call and I received a text from the owner Kimmy saying please do not call again. I will call you and explain everything. She called and left me a VM saying that everyone doesn’t

Had the best blowout of my life from Sara here! I have long thick wavy hair and she really took her time and gave me an amazingly smooth blowout that lasted for so long! Would definitely recommend this salon and Sara's services ❤️

I got a haircut here from Alanna and it was amazing. She was super nice and attentive and the whole atmosphere was friendly and light. I brought my mom and friend because we had errands to run after and there was a little spot for them to sit and chat. I have autism and get anxious when I have to go somewhere new, and as a trans person the haircut experience can cause even more anxiety but I felt super comfortable here. Will definitely be coming here again and I’m recommending it to my friends.
