Modern Nails & Lash Scottsdale

I’ve been going to Modern Nails for years now and it is truly the best! Sheila is incredible and there is no one else I trust to do my nails. She gives great color recommendations, is very efficient, and detail-oriented. I get dip powder manicures - they last for weeks and never break! Additionally, the environment is extremely clean and everyone is friendly. There is truly no better nail salon!

My mom and I have been going to Sheila at Modern Nails for about four years now, and I genuinely look forward to every appointment. Sheila is always so fun to talk to, and what really amazes me is that no matter how many clients she has, she always remembers things I’ve told her before. It makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. I go to the University of Arizona, and I will literally wait weeks longer than the normal 2–3 week nail schedule just so I can come back to Scottsdale and have Sheila do my nails. I never want to go to anyone else. She always gets my nails exactly how I want them, whether I bring in a picture or just try to describe what I’m thinking. I keep trying to give this place a chance. Today was the final straw. Saw Linda for dip manicure. She told me $50 plus $10 for cuticles. I’m like- cuticles aren’t included in a dip manicure? What? It took an hour and 40 minutes. And looks terrible- the polish was filed too thin. See pictures. She got stuff on my white pants. I have no idea how. Ruined. $60 plus $12 tip. I’d like a manager to reach out to me over this.

Sheila is a magician! She did an airbrush ombre for my wedding and it was PERFECT. So many compliments and it lasted the full wedding and honeymoon. This is the only place I’ll go in Scottsdale.

I have been a customer for 5 years now. Sheila is the best nail tech I’ve found in the valley. She’s quick but precise, as she pays close attention to detail. Not only do my nails look great but they hold up amazing!!! I’m a busy working mom so sometimes it takes me 4-5 weeks between new dip sets to get in to see her and my nails NEVER lift or start breaking. Prices are right on par, even slightly less than a few other places I’ve tried. I live 30 mins away from the salon so I did try places closer to home but when my nails started falling off 2 weeks later I knew the drive would be worth it! I’m forever a customer. Salon is clean and well maintained as well!
