The good points: street parking was accessible; I was greeted and appointment time honored when I arrived (though it was during the day of a weekday so not too hard); and service was friendly. Could be better: gel polishes are not organized making it hard to pick a color in a color range of interest. Why I won't go back: the skin around my nail was punctured and I bled for awhile not only while in the salon but for awhile after. A day or two later and my finger was still quite sensitive; so much so, I worried it was infected. My nail technician didn't seem to understand the severity and asked if I had a hangnail which I didn't; she was just pushing that hard. I've never had such a severe nail injury at a salon. There was no conciliation for the harm.

I HATE to be writing this review but I really need you to know what’s up. I came here 4 days ago to get a full set of dip powder nails. I have NEVER had this experience in the 26 years I have been getting my nails done. In exactly 4 days, 5 different nails have broken. I have never experienced such a terrible situation in my life. I cannot believe this. I really thought I had found my new salon and manicurist, but there is NO WAY I will be returning to this salon. I HIGHLY advise if you are planning to get dip powder, run as far away as possible from this place. Update: as I’m writing this review, a 6th nail broke. WILD. I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Will come back to Modern Nail Bar! I went to do my nails more than 2 weeks ago and they are still looking good now. They used high quality nail polish and I love this color so much. I’ve been there several times and the staffs are always friendly and attentive.

Yesterday was the worst experience I’ve ever had! I went to get my nails done both hands and feet and asked for a French manicure. For my feet: my toenails are quite short, so I asked if they could make them look longer. She didn’t understand me, and even after I repeated myself several times, she didn’t fix it. Instead, she started acting upset, raising her voice, and speaking to her colleagues in her own language, which made me very uncomfortable. For my hands: I also asked for a thin French tip, but I was shocked by the result. It looked unprofessional like it had been done a month ago! Honestly, I’m so disappointed. I left feeling terrible about my nails. I expected much better, especially since I’ve been here before and even recommended this place to others. But after this experience

You have to try this place! Wow, love this neighborhood salon. They are a clean, organized, and well-run business! I took my nieces who had a lovely experience. They offer fair pricing and a wide selection of colors and designs. The owner came around and made sure everyone was doing well and loved their service.
