They're a clean studio, able to do simple gel nails. I went specifically for nail art which I booked ahead of time and was paired with an artist I was told was capable. I arrived and the artist said she could not do art. I was disappointed as the only reason I booked here was for the simple art I had wanted. They also have a cancellation policy that if you do not get your nails done with an appointment you get charged 50% of the order. So I had to get my nails done anyway even though they had told me they were capable of what I wanted and that turned out not to be true. I am extremely disappointed. This place is fine for hygiene and simple gel nails or extensions. Do not go for anything more than that.

Jenny was an amazing nail tech I would definitely recommend to a friend. I showed my inspo are she got it spot on and was very meticulous with her work. The bathrooms and building were very clean as well and great location!

I recently had a gel manicure that included a Halloween-themed nail design at Miniluxe on Newbury Street. My manicurist was Jenny, who did an EXCELLENT job of doing my nails! She was so meticulous and made sure that I liked every detail. My nails came out even better than I expected, and Jenny was so incredibly patient considering how detailed the design I wanted was! Everything came out perfect, and I love my Halloween nails! I have been going to MiniLuxe now for many years, and each time I get my nails done, I'm so happy with the result.

Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed with my experience at MiniLuxe a few weeks ago. A friend of mine referred me because she regularly goes here and loves it, so I assume this must have just been a one-off. I got a classic gel manicure and, even with the referral discount, it was more expensive than any other local place I go to for gel nails (usually, it's $35 + tip). I get that people pay for the cleanliness (and it was pristine in there) so I figured I'd try it anyway, but the manicure was poorly done. The prep and aftercare were fine, but my nail tech did not put polish close to my nail beds at all. As a result, my freshly done nails looked like they'd already grown out at least 1-2 weeks.
