MIMI AFRO BEAUTY BRAIDS

I spent $260 on small.box braids. I was initially quoted $250 and told there would be no issue doing my hair even though my hair was very short. I wish that they would've just told me from the beginning that my hair wasn't long enough. Instead they took my money and charged me another $10 because my hair was "too short" I am not the professional. I expect you to let me know this in the beginning. I called back 3 days later expressing my disappointment that my braids were coming out of my head in the back. I was told to come back in and they would redo it. When I got there I expressed my concern that I did not want my hair redone due to fear it would come back out again. I asked for a partial refund instead. My hair was done quite quickly! The atmosphere of the salon was amazing, the ladies were so polite and entertaining to talk to, and they offer you snacks and a drink free of charge! I definitely got my money's worth especially with how nice my braids look.

Mimi ‘n Susu did an excellent job! They were so gentle with my hair and scalp, and the style turned out beautiful. The atmosphere was very professional and welcoming.

I booked an appointment expecting professional service and clear communication. Instead, the owner had someone else do my hair when I arrived and I heard her telling the other ladies I should’ve looked up a hairstyle although I came in Saturday for her to see my hair type and she recommended lemonade braids she also said she would put a few braids in my daughter hair but she only put small puffballs in her hair, and the result was extremely disappointing. I specifically asked for my edges to be covered on my hair, and not only were they left completely exposed, but the style didn’t suit my hairline at all. It took 7 hours to do the style and she was completely careless. I paid full price for something I didn’t ask for—and now I have to spend more money to fix it. Definitely would not recom
