Michelle's Salon & Spa at Five Seasons

This place was recommended to me by several people. I called to get info on booking for several people for hsir/makeup for my wedding only to be directed to their website. I went online and filled out the wedding forms and submitted vus tge provided email address. Several days went by and I didnt get a call or text. I called the salon to see if they received my paperwork and get some further information. I was told the wedding coordinator was on lunch and would call ne back shortly. I knew the liklihood of that was low when the receptionist went to hang up with me before even knowing who was calling. As she was hanging up I had to ask if she would take my name and number. Several days after that i did receive a call. They said my name and number was on a post it note at the reception desk

I went here several months ago to have platinum done to my previously skunk stripe-dyed hair, which had been fading for 11 months. If the stylist didn't feel comfortable doing it, she could have told me that, and I would have totally been accepting of it. The process went smoothly and the stylist was very nice, however, my hair was a patchy, streaky mess. It was all different shades of grey, brown, orange, and white. There were several different areas of significant banding and you could see the lines in my hair where the skunk stripes were previously. Even my virgin regrowth had several different colors going on. I paid $300, not including the $100 tip (this was before I saw the entirety of my hair). After trying to fix my hair with purple shampoo, I came in for a correction a week or two

Had a scheduled appointment on Monday 1/26 at 3:30. Upon arriving, the parking lot was empty with exception of a gray pickup. Called my hairdresser. She said the salon closed, obviously because of the storm. She asked if anyone contacted me. My response was No! Before leaving I called the salon, left message saying I drove out here for nothing that I was not contacted to inform me they closed the salon, according to my hairdresser, they made the decision to close on Friday. The following day, Tuesday, I was expecting a phone call but nothing! They could have easily contacted my hairdresser to inquiry my contact information, if they didn’t have it already.

I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but I’m walking away from my appointment today very disappointed. Not from the massage itself, Heather gave me a WONDERFUL deep tissue massage. I’m frustrated with the business itself. They have major construction going on and throughout my entire massage I had to listen to saws and hammering on the wall across from my room. It was very disruptive, loud and not at all relaxing. I mentioned it at the front desk when checking out today and the girls were polite and apologetic. I find it very inappropriate to charge full spa prices and not give your customers a heads up and option to reschedule.

**RESPONSE** Michelle, why would you be surprised I left a review?? I told you I leave reviews for all services. My problem is you never explained me to how/why I was given 3 different service charges. You quoted me on Friday $225-250. Saturday it was 155.00 to three something. That is three different amounts for the same service I asked for on Friday. I can't lie or make this up if it was recorded on my phone. The picture shown to your two stylists ,I said I want my hair to EVENTUALLY look like this. Plain and simple, that is what was said, that is what is on the record. You being a business woman should have fixed this. Regardless, if my bank finds in your favor,it does not change the facts of what was said or done. I can't make up recordings Michelle.
