Michael Saldana Salon

I was extremely nervous going into my appointment. I didn't really know what to expect, I just knew I needed change. My best friend has come to this salon, to Katiana specifically, for over 5 years and highly recommended her. Katiana was absolutely amazing. She helped calm my nerves, and helped me to pick a hairstyle/cut that suited my face shape. She explained how to style it on my own and how to use certain products- I am not a girly girl by any means and am completely clueless about hair tools/products. She made sure I was comfortable with how much she was taking off, which I greatly appreciated. She gave my hair so much life with just a cut! I've had nothing but compliments and I am so happy with it. She definitely has a new customer!

I walked into the salon only because it was so close. Michael did my cut and had his team gave me a great blowout. So on the way home when a random guy on a bicycle said “great hair” I credited the walk-out-of-salon perfection. It has gone on for weeks—compliments all the time and I don’t style it well. But the cut performs!! Perfect layers even in this ridiculous humidity. Thank you!

I typically never write reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience with Michael that I felt compelled to share my positive feedback. I had been going to a different salon for a few years, but always found myself having to go back to have it fixed because the cut simply wasn't meeting expectations or wasn't executed well. During my last appointment at the other salon, I had one of the worst haircuts of my life: The layers were uneven and choppy all over. I absolutely hated my hair and was embarrassed by how bad it looked. Instead of going back for a third time, I decided to look elsewhere. I’ve been a client of Michael’s for about three years now, and this last visit was a completely different experience. He seemed disengaged, no interest in the client. I tried to explain the haircut I wanted and was showing him the reference photos, but before I was even finished, he started cutting. I figured he understood. When I saw the finished result, it wasn’t what I asked for. Since he already seemed uninterested and I didn’t have time to stay and explain, I simply said thank you, looks good and left.
