Mel's Beauty Salon

I've only ever had Mel cut my hair and she's never let me down. Very fair prices and she always does a solid job. I've never had a bad experience here.

Make sure to call in to cancel for any hair services a week on time to be safe if not you will be hit with a $50 cancellation fee. I was not advised of this, and on top of that I was supposed to call back to get a week appointment because apparently the weekends are for the regulars. If I was quoted $230 for highlights, I didnt need to hear why a week appointment would work better for the hairstylist because of regulars over me as a new customer. And made it seem like me going on a weekend seemed like an inconvenience to her. I had no idea of a cancelation fee and I did call in to cancel that same day unfortunately I had to go to work🙈.I will say this place does put more favor to regulars than new customers. Mel is by far the BEST in El Paso! I've moved away and literally waited months to a year to cut my hair so I can come back to El Paso and see Mel. The quality of service is phenomenal! You literally will never need to look for another stylist after just one visit here. The atmosphere is very welcoming and worth any wait.

Mel replied back after I had left a message. She was able to attend to me right away within 40mins of her calling me back. I got my hair trimmed just in time before my mom's memorial service.
