Melanie Joye LMT

After decades of maybe-once-a-year massages, I made a commitment to take better care of my body and began training at a gym AND seeing Melanie Joye twice a month without fail. The difference has been profound. The funny thing is, when you're no longer experiencing near-constant physical discomfort, you tend not to notice it. I recently came to my senses and realized how much better I was feeling from this decision to prioritize my health. I'm stronger (gym) and much more balanced and relaxed (Melanie). I started seeing Melanie in 2019 and at the time I was 9 months PP and had excruciating pain in my lower back. I have degenerative disc disease in my L4L5 from years of competitive gymnastics and pregnancy with an emergency c-section made it 10x worse. I couldn’t lift my son without shooting pains radiating down my back to my legs, couldn’t get up from sitting down position and barely walk for more then 10 minutes without my back giving out. I was going to a Spine Surgeon and receiving lumbar epidurals to help ease the pain. The next step was going to be back surgery and at 33, that was the last thing I wanted.
