I started coming here in August 2025 and have been so happy with everything I’ve gotten done at Mayssa’s. They’ve cut my hair a few times, added bangs (!!), and colored my hair a bunch as well. I’m at the point where I fully rely on Deanna, my stylist, to help me look my best. She’s the only ones I trust with my curly hair, the salon specializes in dry cuts and that technique truly allows your natural look to go all the way to peak beauty! The first time I went, I knew it was the place for me because I’d never worn my hair curly and felt confident with it that way before coming here. They really changed my mind about my own hair, and I can’t thank a place enough for a gift that priceless. I went to Mayssa’s Beauty Mark Salon today for the first time after my curls were completely butchered… and WOW. Deanna Calderon absolutely rocked it. I’ve never walked out of a salon actually happy with a curly style and I usually prefer to do it myself, but she nailed it. Like, NAILED IT. Not only that, every single client that walked out while I was there looked amazing. You can just tell they truly know curly hair and specialize in it. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me. If you’re in the Jersey area and looking for someone who genuinely understands curls, do yourself a favor and check them out. You will not regret it. 💁🏽‍♀️✨

Currently watching my daughter get her hair cut, and just WOW! Just listening to all the ladies interact with each other is so beautiful and welcoming. You get the sense of family and such a home vibe! I love it, it’s so nice and pleasing to hear. I haven’t even seen the end result to my daughter’s hair cut, I had to leave the review before that just because! Keep it up ladies, I love the atmosphere and family vibes! It truly is beautiful to see. ♥️

I Love, Love, Love coming to Mayssa’s Beauty Mark!! Let me first start off by saying Mayssa and her staff are so welcoming, friendly and professional. The quality of service is exceptional from the moment you walk in the door. And, Mayssa is a gem! I have been coming to Mayssa 4+ years now and she never disappoints. I started my curly hair journey after many years or store bought hair color boxes, flat ironing and blow drying. My hair was well sad. Mayssa took her time, listened to my concerns, advised what to do and what not to do. Achieving beautiful hair color with healthy processes without having to do the big chop. It is achievable. My hair is long, healthy and the color has never looked better!! Many thanks to Mayssa and her stylists ❤️!!!

Mayssa’s Beauty Mark should be every curly hair girl’s go to place. The staff is so professional and knowledgeable. The atmosphere itself is always welcoming and warm. Highly recommend going to Melissa for your color and cut, she is a gem and the absolute best! Always look forward to going.
