American Shave by Louis

Hands down the best barbershop in NJ! Luis from American Shave has been my husband's barber for years! The shop is always clean and the staff is super friendly. Always good energy. They do an amazing job with kids' haircuts - the little ones actually look forward to coming here! The service is high-end!! They use high-quality products, hot towels... and the attention to detail is impressive. 5 stars!

I had experienced a bad haircut from another shop for over the years that I’ve been going to, and I decided that I would change barbers. I came in and Luis was able to take care of all my haircutting needs fix my hair and make it feel like how it used to be when I walked out of a haircut feeling fresh and clean. He addressed all the problems with the last haircut that had gone bad and I confidently feel good about coming here and making this my new shop and the staff is extremely friendly. The receptionist is very welcoming and I had the most pleasant experience.

You feel like family here! We've been going to Louis for years, following him from shop to shop. When you find a barber you love, you stick with him! Our son hated getting his hair cut when he was little - tears and fear after a bad cut at the mall - and Louis was patient, understanding and made him feel so comfortable. Fast forward years later, our toddler now gets his cut here with his big bro and Dad. Louis takes his time, pays attention to the details and never gives a bad cut. He takes pride in his work and it shows! We love this place and recommend them whenever we can!

My hair was long and I asked for the first picture the barber goes yea I could do that and I end up with this horrible haircut. This is horrible and now I have to shave it off. They also up charged me without telling me. Do not go here unless you want a barber who doesn’t talk and gives you what he wants to give you.
