Keep AWAY if you like your hair healthy, and dont want it burned. I came here 02/23/2026 and received horrible service to the point I had to stop them mid-job. I talked to Mike and he told me to come back on Wed or Thu, which I did, and Adam BURNED THE SHIT OUT OF MY HAIR That Wednesday!!!! I smelled like burnt hair for DAYS!! Mike BURNS your Hair Too!!! What a terrible job!! I will NEVER GO BACK!!! No matter what!! My hair is still shedding from the burnt ends!! Go to Knottie Girl Studios in Oak Park, or look for styledby_marta on IG. When I go to Marta to get my hair done my hair length always noticeably increases within 2 weeks and I receives lots of compliments!! She has hair-growing hands!!! They actually care about the health of your hair and would not burn it down to the ground!

A great quick place in the spur of the moment. I loved my girls. With my hair type whatever they did held my curls up all day. I did go home and flex rod them until it was time for the dinner party. A little on the pricy side. Only because I was in a rush I agreed on the price. I just had a wash, blow dry and curl. I did t even get to sit under the dryer for a condition. But it turned out great for the purpose

Mike is rude and disrespectful to his clients. I haven’t been there in over 3 years, and by the reviews he hasn’t changed! Black women don’t waste your time or money coming here that overcharge you for doing natural hair!

I went in to Maysa’s to get a wash conditioner a blow out and styled. I walked in at 11:12am didn’t walk out until 3:34 I am currently In front of there establishment making this review because this has by far been the worst experience I have ever had. He took 4 clients in between me because he can’t let anyone walk out the door even at the expense of his current client and not knowing what we have to do. Advertising in the window says get in and out in 45mins that is a joke I was here 4 hours and my hair does not look that good at all I am very disappointed with the services all around.

This place, definitely gets no stars from me. The only reason why I left a star is so I can leave this review. I walked in here expecting to get a trim, which by the way was gonna cost me $25. I asked him if he could flat iron my hair, mind you my hair is barely up to my shoulders. He said it was gonna cost me $75. So you mean to tell me my trim is $25 and to flat iron my hair is $50?? That’s crazy. No thank you!’
