This place is amazing, and it deserves so much recognition for helping parents of littles that need to get their hair cut. It’s both a fun and safe place. First, I have been looking for a place like this for a very long time, as my child was born with a full head of hair. I am so thankful that this place has opened. Not only is this place extremely cute and inviting, it is completely children friendly. I hope to have amazing experiences to come because my first time here was magical. We were lucky to have Angel cut our son’s hair. He truly is an angel because he made the process so quick and stress free. Our daughter is turning 4 soon and we brought her here this past weekend for her first ever haircut. The experience was amazing! The place is fun, the staff is great, my daughter loved it! They were kind enough to let us take tons of pictures and videos. They gave her a lollipop and a balloon. They also took a Polaroid picture after and put it together in a little date-stamped keepsake with a lock of her hair for us to commemorate her 1st haircut. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

This was one of the most positive experiences I have had with any business, ever. We took our two year old for his very first haircut and were unsure about how it would go. We had been cutting his hair up until that point, with a lot of resistance from our little guy. The space is wonderful and Angel immediately made him feel at ease. He sat calmly for the entire haircut. We showed one photo to Angel of a style we wanted and he executed it to perfection — and extremely quickly. We will never go to another place for his haircut as long as we live in Boston. Highly recommend.

I've brought my daughter here twice, and she absolutely loves Mayne! She had a bang trim yesterday and didn't want to leave! I tried bringing her to another salon for her first haircut, and she was overwhelmed and didn't like it at all. But at Mayne she felt 100% comfortable, and Keyla was amazing. My daughter's hair is super-fine and a little wild, but Keyla was able to give her awesome bangs and even everything out. I have another kid on the way, and definitely will be bringing both of them here!

After years of driving far far away from southie to get our daughter’s hair cut, we finally had the pleasure of going somewhere 10 mins from our house and we could not be happier with every aspect of the experience. Our stylist was super friendly and engaging with our 4 year old, and very knowledgeable about how to cut, style, and look after her thick wavy hair. She was careful and efficient and the haircut was perfect. From the sidewalk chalk out front, to the numerous areas where our younger daughter could play while we waited, the whole experience was wonderful. The studio is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully curated, with a wonderful selection of trinkets and toys to choose from. My only complaint is that we didn’t get to stay longer.
