Massage Envy

I treated myself to a facial recently, but was disappointed in the end. I arrive 10 minutes early before my appointment. At the time of my appointment I was anticipating my massage therapist to come get me, but instead, I was handed an iPad with questions that they should’ve given me when I arrived. It took me about 10 minutes to answer all the questions about my health and skin. When the therapist finally came to get me, it was going on 15 minutes past my start time and she asked me many of the same questions that I answered on the iPad. Why was I given the iPad to begin with If the therapist didn’t even look at my responses? I was not happy with the facial and missed 15 minutes of the one hour facial. I was very unhappy with my experience.

Called my phone back to back to see if I could come in earlier. I told them no. Asked if we could just arrange another time or day since it didnt fit into both of our schedules. Then went on to say ill be charged for changing my appt when they already called to change my appointment anyhow. Funny.

I hate to leave this review because the therapist was very sweet but I think it is important to note for anyone looking for a prenatal massage. She started off the session by stating that she forgot I was pregnant which made me a little nervous. She seemed to have little knowledge about prenatal massages and had me lie on my back for a good part of the massage which led me to feel lightheaded. She also made a few comments that made me feel uncomfortable/confused, about the size of my stomach, what pregnant women can/can’t do, etc. Lastly, she asked twice during the session if I wanted to extend my session another half hour for $40 which I found to be quite annoying honestly. Overall the massage was ok but the overall experience wasn’t very enjoyable.

Do Not go to Massage Envy in the Fairway. I booked online for an $80 massage for my wife. She goes gets a great massage then they charge her $130 saying the $80 was introductory rate. Website says nothing about that price. I called the Massage Envy, the lady was polite on the phone but said "sorry for the miscommunication" and would not charge the $80 that I have proof of booking on their own website. Only $50 but I am a person of principal. I am disputing with my credit card company. My wife did say the massage is great. Just saying be careful when you book online. Thank You TODAY: July 25th. A supervisor at Massage Envy contacted me and refunded my $50. I greatly appreciate them doing the right thing. I responded saying I would update my review for doing the right thing.
