Massage Envy

My massage on Friday 1/30/26 with Tarlana.F was not okay. She has good strength but started on me late and finished 10 minutes early. When the session was over I tipped her $30. She counted it out in front of me and said she usually gets more than that. I told she didn’t even get my arms or hands and finished early. It is very unprofessional of someone to complain to a customer about the amount of the tip. Which I thought was appropriate for the service. I left feeling attacked when I should felt relaxed. I will not be using her again and possibly that location.

Tim did not save me once, but twice! I had the ultimate stretch...the BEST ever after pulling muscles in my neck and shoulders because of how I slept on my pillow--one time in July and today August 11th. I walked out feeling amazing, like nothing ever happened. I am hooked on using my membership for Total Body Stretch. Facials are awesome as well at this location. If you are not a member...join! I had scheduled appointments with massage envy in this location for me and my sister. The person we spoke to did NOT make us aware of the cancellation policy. Regardless, it was for the next day and when my sister felt sick overnight, she went to emergency and found out she was sick with strep. I called immediately to cancel our appointments and left a voicemail as I couldn’t reach anyone. We had spent time together the day before AND we share an address, which is why I canceled BOTH appointments, to be responsible and not infect anyone in the branch or the massage therapist. I was charged $130 for 100% of the cancellation fee for one appointment. Since the 29th, I’ve been requesting to speak to the manager, Crystal, and I haven’t gotten a response. Please be extremely careful if you purchase a gift card or receive a gift card from massage envy. I was given a gift card that says “ does not expire” on the card and after using it, I was told that it was in fact, expired, and that that can be a thing in Maryland. However, online it says legally, if it’s not printed on the card, they have to honor it, and it cannot expire, or they have to give you access to the funds on the gift card somehow. The lead wellness consultant in Columbia, Katie, was who I was speaking with. Unfortunately, she was incredibly rude, demeaning, and dismissive. She kept telling me to call corporate and would not even provide me with the phone number and told me to Google it. The availability, consultation, and service were all perfect. I had the oxygenating treatment for a 60-minute session. The main difference between the various Massage Envy stores is the energy and effort. I've been to several in three different states, and I can say that this is an excellent Massage Envy. Melitab was my esthetician, and I was surprised at how young she is! She is exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and courteous. My skin had suddenly flared up, due to me moving from a completely different climate than MD. The treatment itself has already corrected some of the problem pretty much on the spot, but the adjustments to my regiment that Melitab recommended are also having noticeable and positive effect on my skin.
