I’ve been to Martha many times over a span of many years. I came in for a simple cut and she did her job without rushing. I made an appt and she ran about 10 minutes late which wasn’t bad. Hair wash was nice. Cut was thorough. charges for using a credit card like many small businesses do now. I’ll continue to come back. She was very honest about hair dye and the such. We had a long conversation and she’ll only converse if you chose to. In case you’re looking for a quiet haircut.

Called about getting hair cuts. Inequitable pricing for genders! Told by two people that mens haircuts are $25 and womens are $30. Asked why women pay more and who decides who a man or women is? After being shuffled back and forth and getting the same quote on price, but no answers to my questions, I gave up! We go to barbershops/hair salons where everyone is charged the same price. This business missed out getting 2 new customers! Their loss. If you agree with us don't go there to get your hair cut!! I highly recommend Jalal's barber shop on Georgia Ave, near Sniders. He charges everyone the same price regardless of gender. Also he is very skilled at cutting hair. Compare ratings, they speak for themselves!

I came to this shopping center to get haircuts for my brother(who is white) and was once again reminded of how disrespectful and dismissive the service in this area can be—especially toward Black customers. The receptionist was polite, but the stylist in the back gave one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever seen. She didn’t line it up properly, chopped off the sideburns unevenly, and still had the nerve to charge $40 for it/laughed in my face. I also asked about viewing a style book for nails—not to get anything done, just to see what they offered. One woman ignored me, and another just gave me a business card and walked off. When I tried to ask questions, communication was an issue—and no effort was made to bridge the gap or offer help. I was left confused, dismissed, and unwelcome. Unfortu

I don’t often write bad reviews. I came here to get my hair colored and I ended up a striped highlighted skunk from the 90’s. The haircut was terrible and the color was awful. They partially charged me because of the terrible color. I was still willing to pay, but I was crying when I left and had to go get it redone again.

Still evaluating how well the cut suits me. The customer-service attitude I experienced was tops. The price to trim bangs was incredibly low and the time to handle me was shorter than at my closest salon. So I tipped $5, instead of $3.
