Maria Hair Braiding Shop

Had an appointment for 10 she came about one hour and 30 minutes later and still had to go to the store before she started. Why didn't I leave? Well somebody in that shop usually braids my friend's hair and it looks nice. Unfortunately I didn't realize somebody else braided my hair. Anyway the cornrows looked ok, but it was so tight. For 4 days I tried but after that time with no relief I had to take it out. My scalp was so irritated that 3 days after I took it out it still hurt. I wasted my money but I can only imagine what would have happened to my hair and my scalp if I had left it. So go at your own risk. And by the way no human should have to use a toilet like that, ever.

I’ve been going here since 2018 and haven’t had any complaints. I only let Maria braid my hair (one of her sisters braided my hair I didn’t like it as much) and she’s good at what she does! I show her a picture of what I want and she executes it! She also lets you negotiate the price you want to pay and she’s very understanding. She literally asks “how much you want to pay” and you set your own price as long as it’s not too low lol. Last time I went to her I got medium sized knotless braids and paid $150 including hair!

Horrible experience. I called ahead a time, and schedule an appointment with Fatima for the next day at 8am for goddess locs. She informed me the hair was included and quoted me a price of 150. I got there at 8am, the shop wasn't open. I called her and she said her sister was going to arrive instead. Her sister arrived at the shop 30 minutes later. I'm annoyed, but brush it off. She is showing me the hair and I noted to her that she is missing the curly hair. She tells me, "you don't need curly hair for Senegalese hair style". I'm like, what????? I clearly stated on the phone I wanted goddess locs. She told me I can purchase the hair at a beauty supply store, which let me add, I did not encounter one beauty supply store near the location, and it defeated the purpose of me going to that "

If you like to protect ur hair, if you love your egdes and keep ur hair long and healthy DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I had jumbo cornrows, which I provide the hair for, coming from the side and I legit have a bald spot, Hair that was not pull out was broke. I have long hair, almost mid back, with full edges. Now I got baby hair for the first time in my adulf life. Y'all don't understand the anger, disappointment, frustration. The scalp on my bold spot still hurt and it's tender to touch. After only a wk this is part of the hair I "shed", it 5 times what normally shed after 2 wks.

Perfect, perfect. The owners daughter did my hair, it's still intact 7 weeks later, it made me feel beautiful, I recommend her, she was awesome.
