Man-Mur Barber Shop

This place is everything I could ask for in a barber shop business wise and then some! The atmosphere there is welcoming and the owners/staff are top notch. I’ve been getting my hair cut from Man-Mur for about 3 months now and I’ve never had a bad experience. The staff have made a personal impact on my life, and ask about things that I have spoken about in the shop the next visit that I myself forgot mentioning! A real, true down home feel in a busy downtown setting. Now for the work, the haircuts have been absolute works of art. Just a bit of advice, if you are a first timer and don’t like the outcome, try it a second time for the next cut. These guys (and Mrs. Donna) are very personal with their clients and will correct any issue from the past cut. I personally will guarantee satisfactio

Great experience and always does me right. I usually get Rich and he is a friendly and welcome guy. He has owned the shop in Raleigh with his wife for many years now and they are great to stop in and talk to while getting my hair cut. HUGE Wolfpack fans too, which is always fun for students.

I used to go to Man Mur regularly in the early 90s, but for the last 30 years I've been shaving it myself, whether every couple weeks or every couple years. This time I went 5 years without a haircut, had an unappealing and cumbersome ponytail, and when I recently stopped by the shoe repair store next door, the nostalgia got me to return to the barber shop. Excellent work as it always was years ago, and the price is just as good if not better adjusted for inflation. I'm not very good at judging details about haircuts, but my female friends were very impressed and thought I got it done at a real fancy expensive place, so obviously great value. I think I'll get back to going there every month or two.

Love this place and this atmosphere. Made the mistake of getting my side buzz cut at the forbidden "Great" Clips because I live in Stokes County (about 2 hours away) and travel to Raleigh on the weekends...from now on I will WAIT and come here because its the only place ive left smiling in MONTHS!
