Majestik Braiding

I’ve been getting my hair done by Mariem since I was a kid, and she’s honestly one of the kindest and most respectful people I know. She always takes great care of my hair and is super gentle around the edges. If you’re looking for someone who does beautiful braids and actually cares about your hair, I definitely recommend going to her!

Mrs. Mariam and Charity are wonderful. They were fast and very professional. The shop is very clean and professional. I never had a owner who worked so hard to fit me in with my hectic schedule. While the owner was very friendly and accommodating, they do not have experience braiding "softer" hair (I am white), and when finished with one side and began the other, ended up having to redo it completely. Still, when finished the stylist admitted it was difficult because the hair was too slippery. I ended up with two braids that were uneven in location on my head as well as size and tension (one side was definitely tighter than the other). This being said I did not have the time to stayand they were closing, so they could not redo it yet they still charged full price for the service. I feel as though I should not have been charged full price for a completed product that was not asthetically pleasing. Photo is day after the service.

I am new to braids and have struggled to find someone able to properly braid my soft and thinning hair, due to many years of taking meds for a long-term medical condition. I have been to numerous salons that told me styles would work for my hair when they knew better. My braids would come out just a few days after getting my have done. When I call to complain, I often heard that style was not good for your hair. I would then comment "you should have told me that as a professional before taking my money and wasting my time". Luckily, I always got my money back. That all changed when I went to Majestic Braiding. Mariem is the real deal. OH My Goodness...I love love love love my new found treasure in Majestik Hair Braiding Salon. As soon as I called Ms. Miriam she quickly fitted me in. I showed up and to my surprise I was not waiting around to get my hair done. My stylist Lori was very attentive to my hair care and to my needs. She made sure my wonderful style fitted my face. Lori is God sent as I have been looking for a reliable stylist in the area who is not concerned about making money but concerned with the client and the care of the hair. The shop is very well maintained and the prices are definitely reasonable and well worth every penny. I told my stylist she has a client for life!
