I was running about 10 minutes late to my appt the other day but they were nicely accommodating. My stylist Nariman was friendly and easy to talk to, we had a great chat about the cut I wanted, and she totally got it. The final style was super cute, with perfect length, great shape, lots of bounce and shine. I was unfo a couple dollars short on the tax and tip (I used a groupon for the service) and she was really understanding about it. Great experience overall!

This establishment exhibits discriminatory practices, as I was denied service based on the texture of my hair. Such behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business. I would advise potential customers to consider this before visiting.

How do you make an appointment? I’ve tried both phone numbers multiple times and left a message. Are you just supposed to walk in? Would love to get my hair done

Mai Salon was recommended to me on the Nextdoor app, and I'm so glad it was! A beautiful woman named Nariman cut my hair, I went from long to short for the summer. She did such a beautiful job, made sure she understood exactly what I wanted, and was such a pleasure to talk with! I have found my NYC stylist and am so happy! Great atmosphere, everyone is very nice. Great pricing, so glad I'm not spending over $100 on a haircut. As someone else said, you end up wanting to tip more for the great service. I also had a manicure, and the manicurist did a great job and was so sweet! Try this place, you won't regret it. I suggest making an appointment. I'll post a few pictures of my haircut and nails.

The service was really good and the woman who did my pedicure was very friendly and personable. She also paid close attention to detail making sure my toes looked their best and she gave me tips on how to take care of them. The prices were about average with a pedicure costing $25.
