Maeva African Braids

I’ve been going to Maeva for a long time now, way before they moved the shop down stairs. I use to love this shop even gave them 5 stars before on fb. This last time I went not only did the price increase by $60 without a notice but my braids were horrible. They were sliding out which never happen before, all of my braids were choppy and all my hair was cut. I’m disappointed because I traveled over a hour just to get to this shop every time, and they asked for more money and did a horrible job!

I got knotless braids. Able to get me scheduled on the day and time I requested. They were waiting on me when I got there. Had two braiders that took only 3.5 hours for medium sized braids. The cost was fair. There was not much communication/instructions about the appointment like some shops. But I already knew what to expect and how to prepare my hair prior to appointment. I did recommend this shop to a friend. Her experience was not similar to mine. Had some miscommunication and said her parts were not straight. She is not as satisfied. So sounds like there maybe some inconsistencies. I will continue to recommend as my experience was positive and I'm happy with the outcome.

Maeva african braids is the best, I have been with Maeva for many years with my kids. I have referred many friends and colleagues to this shop, the braids are good and nice. I ❤️ this shop

I am extremely particular about my braids because I am also a braid stylist. These ladies are professional and know how to treat their clients. They do an amazing job they are very neat and precise and work on your hair from start to finish with no breaks in between. The shop owner is an amazing lady that can do all kinds of styles and makes sure you are satisfied with your hair! This place is great!

I scheduled a touch up appointment on a Friday for my braids. Then, called just to ensure were still on scheduled, owner proceeds to say can you come tomorrow around 1 or 2. I said no problem, something else ended up coming up. (thank God i called) Next, day i head to my appointment for 1 p.m. I arrived to the appointment 15 minutes early and her shop was locked. I called her and asked will she be one time for my appointment. She proceeds to say something happened within her family can you come at 4:00. I understand situations happen in our lives and sometimes unexpectedly. All Maeva had to do was pick up the phone and let me know and i would have respected that. She showed no sympathy while we were on the phone. My advice to you would be to provide better customer service when answering t
