Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Studio City

There is a weekday promo for first time clients, Monday-Wednesday. I was able to make same day appointment (Monday) online. You are able to add services as needed. All prices are posted. I had grey roots and uneven color due to at home coloring (I’m sure). When I arrived, I was greeted by lady who checked me in and seated me at the bar. Then my colorist Jennifer arrived with a tablet to gather information and show me examples of the color results I wanted. She prepared tint and applied, approximately 40 minutes. Then timed for 35 minutes. When time was up, a different lady came to get me to wash my hair. I had my roots done today at the Studio City location and was very happy with the results. The color came out great and the overall experience in the salon was very pleasant. However, I ran into an issue with the booking system. I accidentally scheduled my appointment at the Torrance location through the app, but immediately called the automated line (Mati) to switch it to the Studio City location. The system confirmed that the change was made, and I did attend my appointment in Studio City. Later I noticed I was still charged a no-show fee for the Torrance appointment. I’m hoping the team can review this and correct the charge since I followed the process to update the location and did show up for my service. Stopped in a week prior to appointment and asked if they could color with extensions and was told yes, so made an appointment. While the girl was coloring my hair, manager next her to kept saying "{whatever her name was} we don't color extensions," just as the girl was getting to them. So she stopped. I asked to talk to the manager telling her I would be leaving with two different colors and would not be happy. She said "well we can't, not sure who told you yes, but we can't." She then said if it's bad I will give you color to take home. Of course, by the time all was done, my hair was very obvisouly two colors, and conveniently the manager and the girl who colored my hair were gone. Also the color doesn't hold real well. This was my first experience going to a Madison Reed Color Bar. This was a very ideal situation for me. From walking through the door and the initial greeting I received from the gentleman, the offer for water, tea, being seated and then having the colorist (Crystal) come over and ask me what color I wanted. I knew I wanted all of my hair colored red but wasn’t sure if I wanted permanent or demi color. She was patient and helpful. Very friendly and welcoming. I recently visited Madison Reed Salon for a hair color, and while they did an excellent job with my color, I was disappointed with the service when it came to finishing up. My appointment was in the late afternoon, and although the color came out great, they didn’t do a blow dry because the salon’s closing time was 6 PM. I requested the blow dry, but they said they had to close. It would have been nice if they could have planned the time better or accommodated the request, especially since finishing touches like a blow dry make a big difference in the experience. Overall, the hair color was perfect, but I would recommend scheduling earlier to avoid the same situation.
