I love coming to Luminary! Carly is fantastic at what she does. Not only is she the most thorough hair stylist I’ve ever been to, but she is also the kindest. I really appreciate how much care she puts into making sure that my haircut is perfect each time. And it is! She is very knowledgeable when it comes to long and thick hair. I’m very happy to have found Carly at Luminary :)

I went for a color consult with Claire. I was greeted at the door with smiles and I felt welcomed. I talked with Anne for about 40 mins regarding fantasy colors. She was incredibly thorough in explaining the process and answering questions. She also said I can send in more questions whenever. She took a test sample of my hair for bleaching to see if I could get the color I want and explained the risks and changes I would make to my daily routine / lifestyle for the hair I wanted. She is so knowledgeable and also very realistic. She won't dash your hopes tho and will try to help you find different ways to achieve what you want. I went to other color consult but I felt the most taken care of here. ❤️

This was maybe the best experience I’ve had at a salon ever. Halle was so welcoming and easygoing, and I could relax but also chat when I wanted to. My cut a day later looks sooooo good. I’m definitely sticking with Halle. Also, other staff were very friendly. And liked the use of natural shampoo and conditioner, as I am trying to strictly use only natural ingredients as a breast cancer survivor. Very happy I found you guys!

It was my first time at Luminary and I have not had a great haircut or haircut experience in a really long time (lived in a much smaller city since 2020). Moved to Richmond and found Luminary, and I am so thankful I did! I was able to get a next day appointment with Claire, who gave me a fabulous haircut and a fabulous experience. Truly a unique and wonderfully welcoming atmosphere they have created. This is my new regular place.

This is the only salon I will trust with my hair, I cannot recommend them enough!! Kaylee worked their magic with first the blonde balayage then killed it again when I wanted to go red, the color is still vibrant after multiple washes and my hair feels so healthy ♥️ the cut is also exactly what I wanted, thank you so so much!
