I could not be happier to have found Cate of Love Notes Salon (and am grateful to have discovered her through all these amazing reviews)! I had been searching for a salon here in Portland that can help me deal with my frizzy curls and self-cut bangs, and I am thrilled that search is officially over! Cate knows curly hair, asked all the right questions, and gave me the exact haircut I was envisioning, along with so many extra helpful tidbits of information on how I can continue to manage this fab cut at home. I am also stoked that despite how clearly upscale this place is, and how talented and intuitive Cate is, there are also weekly discounted economy deals! I've been going to see Cate for over 7 years now and truly would not trust ANYONE else with my hair the way I trust her. She is incredible from cut to color and is a wizard with textured hair as well. I'm a blonde and I've never left without LOVING my color. She is just the best and Love Notes Salon is the best!

Cate is so amazing! She is incredibly patient and really takes the time to understand your hair goals. If you’re looking to maintain or brighten your blonde, she is definitely the person to go to. Plus, she’s incredible at blowouts! Highly recommend.
