Nightmare haircut, my hair will literally never be the same unless I shave my head. I had been seeing the OWNER Kate for over a year. Each time I was confused as I left the chair with more flyaways and breakage than when I came in. I have naturally fine hair, but it’s very thick and dirty blonde hair. Kate always commented how my hair was gorgeous and thick but then proceed to demolish my healthy virgin hair with a razor. I don’t dye my hair, and I rarely use heat. A blank canvas for her to RUIN. The last haircut I had from her was a quick DUSTING of my ends, a service she does for repeat clients. I thought that’s all I was getting. I left with a 1/3 of my hair GONE and a deep face frame that cut into my perimeter so much at my chin and shoulders that I am forced to cut my hair off to make

Kate has decades of training, teaching, and styling with the best of the best. She has a true passion for making people feel like their best selves, but without any pretentiousness. Her warm demeanor is welcoming to everyone from street punks to toddlers to grandmas to artists. I usually dread going to traditional salons, but always look forward to visiting Lost Hills. You'll be in expert hands when you sit down in Kate's chair. And you will probably get a sweet, heartfelt hug on your way out of the salon.

Kate has been cutting my hair for almost ten years, I can't imagine seeing anyone else. She manages to foster a creative, comforting and distinctly cool environment at Lost Hills that makes every visit feel meaningful. She treats every haircut as a collaboration, but I trust that her vision will make me feel more like myself by the end of every visit. I've been getting my hair done by Kate for a while now. She is incredible...super talented, brilliantly skilled at her craft. I'll usually get somewhat choppy bangs of varying lengths, depending on my mood, and layers.
