I’m giving this nail salon one star because of the service I received from a nail technician named Rita (or at least that’s the American name she gave me). I’m not from Newport, RI and was visiting the area, so I came to this salon hoping to have a good experience getting my nails done. Unfortunately, my experience was uncomfortable due to the technician’s attitude and lack of professionalism. I asked to have my old acrylics removed and get dip powder with cat-eye polish on top. While I was trying to decide on a color, I felt pressured to choose quickly and accidentally dropped the color display frame. Yuki is so gentle and a perfectionist when it comes to gel manicures. It was my first time here, it just became my favorite spot! The gel doesn’t sting or burn, I’ve gone to other locations on the island where it burns a lot! I was going to do a solid color half way through I asked for a French tip just too spicy things up and they look amazing! THANK YOU YUKI 🩵

Had been looking for a go-to nail spot on the island for a while. I tried Lee’s and it was a great experience. Added photos since not too many recent reviews had examples of how they turned out. My first experience (red almond) was great for the holidays. I got dip polish with extensions and my second experience (pink rounded) I did dip on my natural nail. I had two different technicians and both were very nice, professional and timely - making it a great overall experience. They also provide water/seltzers for guests and give you a few minute shoulder massage while your nails are drying if you want. I will definitely be back! Thank you!

For the benefit of the clients and business owner, I would like to share my experience here. I came twice to Lee's nail salon, and one time the technician was very careful and attentive but the second time another nail tech overfiled and damaged my nails. Here is an image 1.5 months later after a removal from a different salon. The top half of my nailbeds show some damage and the bottom is normal after a manicure & removal from a different salon. The owner is very kind and considerate, the ambiance is good, and not every manicurist is the same, but here is my feedback: 1. Please do not take walk-in clients when there is a big rush unless the quality and safety can be assured. No manicure is better than a rushed job that results in long-term damage for the customer. 2. My mom and I got pedicures there and we had such a great experience! This place is very well-run. We made a same-day appointment and walked right in. Didn’t smell like fumes, very clean, quiet, and well-decorated. They did an excellent job on the nails!
