They care about hair here. This salon offers training to their stylists and offer a full range of services. They are also super nice, seem like one big family, and seem to love what they do...that's the type of salon you want to go to.

Lance has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. He is dedicated to his clients and it shows. Yesterday, I was going for a new look and he took a lot of time and precision to get it just right. I’ve also had great experiences with many other stylists and colorists over the years - Ivy, JV, Nicole, Marco, Kiyo and Karla - and they are all excellent. And it’s more than a salon, it’s a caring community, infused with warmth, wisdom and humor. No wonder clients travel from all over NYC to the heart of Tribeca to visit the salon. It’s like coming home. And during these challenging COVID times, it’s really nice to come home.

I simply can not say enough wonderful things about Lance Lappin Salon. Truly. They are quintessential professionals with outstanding stylists, colorists, make up artists - you name it, they've got it covered and covered well. My family and I have been going there for nearly twenty years and we have all been beyond satisfied. Even when my kids were in their "tough to please" teenage years they were always thrilled with the results! I never doubt their ability to deliver the best possible service. Currently I get my haircut by Lance (who is truly a master) and my color done by Sandra (an incredibly talented artist) but over the years my family and I have been to many, many of their stylists and have always left thrilled with the results. Lance Lappin is by far the best Salon I've been to in NYC. I have lived all over Manhattan and tried 10+ salons prior to finding Lance Lappin. The Staff is absolutely wonderful. They are the kind of people you want to hangout with even after your appointment is over. They are very competitive with their service rates, which I appreciate. I've been to Salons that cost over $300 for color and a cut and Lance Lappin stylists blow them all out of the water. I have been going to Nicole of over 3 years and she is absolutely fantastic! I have very curly, dry hair and she makes my hair EXTREMELY manageable with her haircuts and her blowouts are AMAZING!!!

A wonderful, wonderful haircut from Lance today that felt every bit as transformative as the first time i visited almost 15 years ago. The care and simple human kindness that Lance puts into his work is amazing, as is his artistry. His welcoming, inclusive salon is a reflection of him and Ivy: everyone there makes you feel happy, peaceful and at home. I left feeling lighter, smiling, and of course looking a lot better than when I came in. I highly recommend Lance, Kiyo (who did a masterful cut for my husband) and any one of the salon's stylists. Not only will you get a fantastic haircut (I'm no celebrity, but strangers sometimes stop me and tell me my hair looks great), but you'll feel cared for.
