KNOCKOUT NAILS

Decided to get my nails done on a whim and being from out of town and traveler, its hard to establish your go-to spots! I’m a girl who gets my nails done frequently so I’ve seen all different styles of work and am experienced to know what looks good on my hands and also what doesn’t so basically how my nails should look on my hands. Came to Knockout Nails in West DSM and it was a great experience! The nail tech I had was Tran and she definitely did amazing! I could tell this girl puts in the work and loves what she does. Photo doesn’t do justice but highly recommend this salon! Very clean, cute and glam interior and professional atmosphere!

I hadn’t gotten my nails done in quite some time. I finally decided to take a little “me time”, and I couldn’t have been happier. After my relaxing pedicure was done, they seamlessly started on my acrylic manicure. I asked for a simple design of French tips. Even with the simple design, I have gotten so many compliments on them. Highly recommend Knockout Nails.

This was my first pedicure at Knockout Nails, and will be my last. The gal was nice and the place appeared clean. She used a fairly soft brush on the bottoms of my feet. I let her know I’d need something stronger, like a pumice stone or the tool that’s more like sandpaper. She said those were illegal to use. Really? I told her I wasn’t referring to the tool places used years ago with a razor blade, but she repeated those were illegal. I let her know what she was using would not get rid of the calluses. I asked her to trim my big toes to avoid ingrown toenails. That didn’t happen, even when I reminded her later. She trimmed the ends of my nails, but didn’t file them and they are really rough. I picked my color (same one I normally use), but when she brought out the bottle, I noticed it look

I've been going to this place on a regular basis since February 2025. The staff are very friendly and for the most part, I have been satisfied with my nails after getting them done. What I don't like is the prices don't feel consistent and even when I schedule an appointment days in advance and get there early, I still end up waiting for 45 minutes to an hour before I get sat down.

I want to express my dissatisfaction with my visit yesterday. I usually enjoy my pedicures here, but this time was a complete letdown. I made an appointment over the phone, and then waited over 45 minutes before being seen. It was frustrating to see walk-ins being taken care of before my scheduled appointment. The nail technician, whose name was Kim, didn't communicate much, barely saying ten words throughout the process. To make matters worse, she actually made me bleed in three different spots and didn’t even acknowledge it or offer an apology. Now, my nails are all uneven and bumpy, which is really disappointing.
