KINGS AND LITTLE ONES Barber Shop

My son just came back from a haircut from this establishment and the hairdresser herself wasn’t pleasant. She didn’t seem happy to be at work and when asked for a design to be cut into the faded hair she stated “she doesn’t do that” and suggested to my son that maybe somewhere else would be able to do that. For a business tailored towards children you would expect a much more friendly atmosphere. We will not be returning unfortunately

I’m honestly a little torn to be leaving this review. My family has been coming to this place since I moved here from California and normally the service is phenomenal. Yesterday my son’s stylist was a bit impatient and seemed frustrated by my child during his hair cut. Honestly he’s a pretty typical 5 year old but has been getting haircuts since he was 2 and is pretty used to the process. Melissa felt he moved too much and the hair cut really shows it. The best part of the hair cut is the line he wanted but that wasn’t even done by his stylist, another one did it for her, it was done perfectly which shows how patient and still he can be. Been taking my boys here for years… so I feel bad leaving this review, but after reading other recent reviews with people saying something has changed here lately, it’s warranted. We walked in to get a haircut today and there were three girls working. Two people waiting. One girl calls up the first guy and then the other girl takes the second, says hi to us and then says just a minute. Ok. We sit and play the Pac-Man, then scroll in our phones. She finishes the second guy and sweeps the floor then takes off into the back. Never came back for us. The first girl finishes and then tells us that they have no space for a haircut until 1. At this point, we have literally waited 45 mins for a haircut and she’s telling us to come back in an hour and a half. No communication? Misunderstanding? Wher

I’d like to start by saying that I’ve been happy with most of my experiences at Kings and Little Ones over the past six years. The staff have always been friendly, and I understand that my haircuts won't always be perfect. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing. I showed Roxanne a photo of a hairstyle that I’ve had done by other barbers at Kings and Little Ones in the past without any issues. Her response to the photo was rude, which caught me off guard, but I chose to let it go. During the haircut, she made another rude and unnecessary comment after asking how I planned to style my hair, which felt completely unjustified. Don’t usually make reviews but felt this might help a younger guy make a choice. Called to make an appointment, the person on the phone sounded as if I was inconveniencing them but I made an appointment cause I needed a cut and my usual barber shop was closed. My barber was friendly but the cut was a 3/10 at best. This is the 3rd time I’ve been here and always walk out feeling chopped… you can tell it’s just a job for these ladies. If you’re looking for a first choice equivalent, or you simply want short hair you might like this place. Personally think it’s worth spending a little more and getting someone who appreciates the craft. I’ll walk around chopped for a few weeks till it grows back. Lesson learned
