I went here yesterday to receive a relaxer treatment. The first red flag was the fact that when I called they told me 55 over the phone then when I got there they changed it to 85 because “my roots are thick”. My hair is short and fine. I wish I spoke up but I was very new to this and came from the other side of the island so I decided to stay. The lady who applied the relaxer put it on my scalp to the point where when I told her it was burning she wasn’t even done putting it on. As she tried to wash my hair, my scalp was burning and on fire to the point where water touching scalp had me shaking in pain. Nobody in there spoke English so I didn’t understand what they were saying or doing. They sat me under the dryer which burned my scalp even more. I got my hair blown out and straightened.

I had just combed out my locs that I had for three years. I walked in and was greeted with a calming and welcoming energy. I asked if they do wash and sets on natural curly hair and she said “ofc we do”, I 10/10 recommend. The energy in this hair salon is very welcoming and loving. They will have you smiling in your chair. They made me want to get up and dance with them. Thank you guys for making me feel and look beautiful.

I got my hair done about a month ago as an emergency because I couldn't make it to my normal beautician. The experience was wonderful. Hands down, that's what would make me want to go back. A month later, my hair has better to revert to my normal hair type. Either from heat damage or texturizer that's in the shampoo, conditioner, or hot oil treatment. Which they have denied. 😒 Would I go back. Absolutely not. Would I suggest for someone else to go back: only if you're in a pinch and bring your own products.

I used to go to this salon a few years ago under the previous owner. I came today because I was tired of braids and wanted to let my hair breath. From the moment I stepped in the door they were attentive, courteous, service was great, prices are reasonable. Overall great experience, I will be returning.
