K-oop Hair Styling

I went in for a walk-in and I was seen immediately. I’m fine with the way my hair turned out. I think charging $40 for a simple trim is a bit overboard, but you won’t find much cheaper in this area. It was also hard to communicate with my barber because she hardly said a word and the only question she asked me was how much I wanted off. Not a bad place but not the best either.

The most perplexingly terrible haircut I've ever received. The haircut was "bad", in the classical sense. There was a lot of just general sloppiness. Long missed hairs everywhere. Stuff like that. The normal things go with a "bad" haircut. But this was no "normal" bad haircut. The hair on one side of my head is up to 6 inches longer than the hair on the other side of my head. Literally. On one side of my head the hair was near the top of my forehead, on the other I had bangs were below my eyes. At first I thought this must be some kind of stylistic thing? But it was wildly inconsistent across my head, so I'm pretty sure nothing about this was intentional. And in any case I was asking for a very simple cut and showed a picture. The tapering is both too aggressive and also inconsistent,

I recently moved to the hood and tried this place. I don't usually leave a review, but decided to for benefit the public. TL;DR. Never going back. (I got a haircut from a lady) 1. Quality of Service - I requested that I only want to thin/trim, and clean the sides/backs. I mentioned it three time. First, before the hair cut starts. Second, as she was shortening my hair too much. Finally, I couldn't bear it, so I complained, and a hair cutter next took over. I wanted thinning and clean-ups, but what I have now a ready-to-join-army haircut. Also, the lady's pace of cutting was extremely slow. Slow as a turtle moving. I felt like I am paying to get tortured to sit on the chair. She constantly cut left a little bit more, right a little bit more, until eternity. After 30 minutes of hair cut, e

Walked in around lunch time and was able to get a haircut almost immediately. For $35 right in Kendall square, it's totally worth it. It's been hard to find barbers that know how to cut Asian hair (and not make me look like I have a bowl haircut), but they definitely do over here so this is going to be my go-to place now. Really happy with the haircut and they even style it a bit so you look extra fresh when you leave. I wish I knew the name of my barber so I could give him props because he was really great.

I wanted to give this place a chance since it's near my work but after coming here several times, I can't give this place a good review. Even though I show a picture of what I want every time (I have a fairly basic hair style), they have not been able to match it and have been pretty inconsistent. Most recently, they cut my hair way too short and now it will take months to regrow it. This was the final straw and I will not be retuning. Also none of the barbers have been particularly friendly. I would not recommend coming here.
