I paid over $500 for a color service with Zhanine, only to wash my hair at home and have it turn orange. I reached out to schedule a correction and was then charged a cancellation fee for an appointment I never even confirmed—an appointment that was meant to fix the original service. Ironically, during the first appointment she already had to redo the root melt saying it ‘didn’t take.’ I arrived at 8:30am for my 9am appointment and Zhanine didn’t show up until after 10, so my service didn’t start until around 11:30–12. It was my first time here and was recommended by my Lash Technician. I am pretty picky about my hair and had a lot of specifics. BRYAN listened and did it exactly like I wanted. The environment has a very cool vibe that is calming and efficient, staff is extremely helpful and nice. I know you'll leave just as happy as I did. I definitely recommend scheduling here and you will never regret having their service because it was high-class and excellent.

Appointment 1: Been trying to find a solid hair salon since moving back to Hawaii about a year and a half ago. I’ve checked out a few places, but nothing really clicked until I went to JV Salon in Aiea and had Taia Darjean do my hair. I’m confident this is the spot I’ll stick with, and I’m actually comfortable bringing my daughter here too. Taia was straight-up professional and polite from start to finish. She kept asking for my input on the cut, style, and everything else. She checked in regularly did if I needed a drink, anything adjusted, or was I good? That kind of attention to detail made the whole experience easy and comfortable. Her work is thorough and precise. She took her time to get every line and section right, and the result was clean, sharp, and exactly what I was going for.

I’m going to start this off by saying I know this is going to sound ridiculous… but it has genuinely taken me two years to have the courage to post this review. Two years ago I came in and asked a three lettered male stylist to help me start the process to go from a joico N1, that had been started at the same salon, to eventually, over the course of multiple sessions, get back to my blonde. I knew that it was a long hard road, and would be months and months of $500 dollar sessions and I emphasized that I was fine with that and the health of my hair was important to me.
