She’s incredibly skilled, but also so intuitive and kind — she could tell I was tired and let me enjoy the quiet during my wash, which made the whole experience feel like self-care. And the haircut? Effortlessly stunning The salon has such good energy — warm, grounded, no pretension. Alex at the front is equally lovely. And somehow, it’s only $100 for a wash and cut on the UES? I was so happy to finally get to experience the terrific professionals and same superlative service in this clean, beautiful, newly-opened Carnegie Hill salon. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with warmth, smiles and the offer of a fresh espresso or cappuccino. Jose Manuel is a genius - a master colorist and stylist - who sees the inner beauty in all of his clients and helps them look their very best. He seems to magically envision and create the perfect hair color and style for every one of his clients (whether they are 9 or 90). I have followed these stylists at this new salon from their prior two salons. Candy has been cutting and coloring my hair for 16 years and Nancy has done manicures and pedicures. Everyone there is warm and friendly while at the same time professional. The new salon is elegant and comfortable. They are taking all of the appropriate Covid protections.
