John Boys Barber Shop💈

Stay away from this place. I got a haircut from the younger guy and I’m not sure he knows which end of the scissors are sharp. I care very little about my haircuts but this dude straight up destroyed my hair. Uneven on the temples, one sideburn he cut from the top of my forehead down into a single line. This cut is crazy. Look at my past reviews and you will see I almost never complain, but this is a public service announcement “stay away from this place”.

Great Haircut. Like really good. It's $30 dollars. Definitely overpriced considering the state of the shop, but I would still go back. The barber/owner was born and raised in the neighborhood, an environment that is not at all conducive to entrepreneurship, so I support him in his accomplishments. He can talk up a storm, he's funny, insightful, and most importantly, makes 30 minutes feel like only 5!

Called for an appointment they said to come over because they were pretty empty. I showed up an hour later and they told me they were busy for the next hour and a half. How can it be possible they got so many people all together in a short time? Also they were not very helpful or nice when communicating, they probably didn't care about my business.... Last attitude and more customer service definitely would go a long way...

John has been open for about 13 years, and he and his barbers give the best cuts in the Westside. Clean cut, clean shaves, and probably one of the only barber shops left that doesn't charge ridiculous prices. If you're looking for a barbershop, this is the place to go.

If you are looking for good barbershop, John Boys is the place to be. I have been coming here regularly for the last few months, and do not plan on going ANYWHERE else anytime soon. No matter who you see, John Boys will do you right.
