Jesse's Barber Shop

I was passing through Dayton on a business trip, and was wishing I'd gotten a trim before leaving home. Quick Google search, and took a chance on a spot near my hotel. Howard got to me within 30 minutes of my call, did a great job, and we had an incredibly nice conversation about the history of his place and career, etc. I got much more than a nice, quick haircut and would love to repeat the experience someday. Howard will have been my barber for a decade as of 2024 and I plan for him to be my barber for the next decade... That is if I have any hair left to cut by then of course. Having known both Howard, the barber, and Grady, the shoe shiner, for ten years now, I am proud to have been a customer of theirs as the two always find a way to make folks smile and laugh. You won't get a better cut for your money, Howard is the real deal, and Grady is always happy to give Dayton’s most economical shoe shine. Their hospitality and the fact that the parking garage, which you can find on Jefferson Street, makes this one of the safest downtown shops a great stop for folks who enjoy the theaters, restaurants or riverside park.
