Jessamine County Public Library

We are so thankful for JCPL! They have so many fun programs for people of all ages. We go multiple times a week to play with the toys in the children's library and check out books. My son also likes to check out video games. The staff is always super friendly and they have a great selection of educational toys, puzzles and of course, books!

I adore this Library! It's very spacious while still feeling warm and inviting. Everything is so well organized. It was easy to find what I was looking for. I especially enjoyed their creative area, with all of the unique machines that many people don't have access to. The jewelry area particularly caught my eye and I will be looking out for jewelry programs to attend in the near future. They have a wonderful children's area with beautiful decorations and excellent space for play. The teen area is warm and inviting, with dimmed lighting that creates a comfortable and relaxing environment. I appreciated the area for teens to play games and comfortably read. There was plenty of computer access, charging areas, and places to sit and relax. I will be looking out for upcoming programs and visit

Very nice facility. Clean, inviting and usually many parents with children there. Restrooms very clean. I used the free fax machine.

This is one of the BEST LIBRARIES that I've ever been to, and they offer a wide wide array of events and educational experiences! During the summer, when school is out, I can always find something family-friendly and often unique going on and to experience at the JCPL! Not just summer fun, the library has year-round events and clubs for all age groups! My daughter enjoys the once monthly Lego club and has started to express interest in the Pokémon club! My favorite event thus far has been when the Lexington's Children Theater performed Anasi the Spider at the Library with a set and all. The best part was that it was FREE!So much to see and do at our local library, if only all libraries were as fantastic as Jessamine County Library! We could go daily!!!

Cannot say enough good things about our library. Organized, clean, tons of resources, great events.
