Took my son here for his first haircut and was very impressed. Jacob was great and made him feel comfortable. My son loved his new look and felt so handsome. We will definitely be coming back soon.
I am a regular. Jacob is a superb barber and a very, very nice man. I love getting my hair cut at this shop. He is not only my favorite barber, he is a good friend. I highly recommend this barber shop. I always feel like a new man when I leave the shop.
Jacob was great, nice tough guy $35
Jean Romano is hands down the best barbershop on the Upper East Side. Maybe even in all of Manhattan. I’ve been to countless spots over the years, but nothing compares to the experience here. From the second you walk in, you feel like family. It’s that rare mix of old-school craftsmanship and modern style. Every cut is done with precision. They actually listen to what you want and somehow make it look even better than what you pictured. The space is clean, welcoming, and has that classic barbershop energy without the ego. Conversations are easy and the vibe is just right. You walk out not just looking sharp but feeling good too. I’ve brought friends here. I’ve sent family. Everyone becomes a regular. Salamon also assumed where I wanted my hair parted, resulting in a lousy overall appearance which, as a result, I cover up with a cap. If the customer doesn't say what he wants, then the servicing person should ask, not assume. He asked me whether I wanted my eyebrows trimmed at the very start of the haircut, but no other questions. To make matters worse, he kept hitting the top of my earlobe every time he brushed my hair to th
