I wanted to wait a week to make sure I was truly happy with my hair and the result. Last week I was helped by a wonderful woman and fantastic hairstylist Artrina. It was my first experience having my hair professionally colored, and she made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions regarding the process. Her patience and very obvious familiarity with hairstyling made me at ease; I was confident I had gone to the right place to get my hair dyed! I wanted to go from a medium brown to a jet black, and I got exactly what I asked for, and Artrina made sure to even cover my baby hairs around my forehead and neck.(see attached photo) The shampoo and conditioning was truly my favorite time of the experience. My stylist Kaitlyn has been dying and cutting my hair here at JC Penney for years! She always makes sure the color us just right, and always has hair care tips that have helped me save my hair from getting burnt out over the years of dying. She does great styles, cuts , and highlights and always adds her little spark or creativity to it! She makes quick work of waxing eyebrows and gets the shape right for my face. Have had her do manicures for special occasions as well! Reasonable prices, clean facility, and excellent customer service!!!

Edit #2: Kaitlyn continues to be the best stylist for me. Keeping my hair looking beautiful and shiny and healthy. Every time I leave I feel so much better about my look. She keeps innovating and I will keep coming for more years! 1st update. Kaitlyn did my haircut and style. She is absolutely amazing and has a natural talent for hair! Men or women's. I have really heavy hair and it's usually impossible to get it to do what I want. She nailed exactly what I wanted, and gave me a few tips to help me out when I am at home for styling. That's great customer service! Her professional techniques, appearance, and skills are beyond expectations. Totally worth it! I will 100% come again and again. I love my hair. <3(as she just did it)

Went for cut and color and my first experience was not good. Called the manager whom offered for me to see another stylist and have a consultation. I went to see Katie who helped me pick a color I liked and she said she could do on my hair. I came back about a week later and Katie dyed my hair from a color blend she made based on what I said I preferred and it came out fantastic! Sometimes things turn out the way they should. Katie is a fantastic stylist and she knows about her colors. Book your appts with Katie.

I went in to have a family member have a color treatment done, and rather than bleaching the hair first, the colorist just did the color over her dark brown hair. Well, the color was not satisfactory so I had to reschedule a re-do, which regrettably had the basic same result. It covered a little more of the original hair color coming through, however; the color was still streaky where the color couldn't cover her natural hair color. So, for being dissatisfied after the original and the re-do, I can't give more than 2 stars and that's only because I've used this salon for years but my favorite colorist has since retired and this one double booked that time period so she wasn't able to commit to focusing fully on this task. For over $140.00 plus her additional tip, it wasn't money well spent
