My experience with this JCPennys Salon has been terrible. Every time I have booked an appointment it has never worked out. The management is terrible. The first time I booked the manager called me and asked if she could reschedule me for another day, I said sure, my event being on the next weekend and I walked in Sunday morning, mind you this was during FAMU homecoming week, no was there long enough to stay that day to do my hair so I booked next day Monday after work and they called to change me to Wednesday after work 3pm foe me to show up and the manager said she didn't have time to do my hair. No one put on the paper what I wanted done and she couldn't do it all cause she had to leave work early. Oh did I mention she was 30 mins late. So I didn't get my hair done for my event. Then
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a silk press I received shortly before Christmas with Eunice. Unfortunately, my hair has sustained significant heat damage, which has permanently altered my curl pattern. This is deeply upsetting and unacceptable, as I trusted this salon to provide professional and skilled care for my hair. While Eunice was pleasant, I feel her skills in working with type 4 hair were inadequate. I would urge the salon to prioritize proper training for stylists to ensure they are equipped to handle all hair types professionally. Additionally, I recommend maintaining focus on the service being provided rather than unrelated personal or work-related conversations during appointments, as this can detract from the client’s experience. This experience has negativ
I went there in 2020 for a hair cutt and my hair was tangled because I have curly hair and it just tangles a certain way sometimes. And I can’t remember her name but the lady made it sound like it was all my fault my hair was so tangled . She went on a rant about how I should know how to take care of my hair and that it’s MY hair. My hair tangles because it’s curly hair curly hair tangles. She just didn’t want to spend the time doing it, she even told me she had an important client a head of me. She said she has to charge extra for it . I walked out of the salon and never came back. I did get my hair cutt by someone a lot more nicer and understanding and more equipped to do the job. I never wrote a review because I didn’t think about it , and then when I read all the reviews on the salon
The last hair experience I had at JC Penny was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! I usually go to JC Penny hair salon for my birth day every year with no issues. However, this time so called hair stylist Toya stated there was a new product to keep my natural hair straight and not damage it for 6-8 weeks instead of 2 weeks. She rushed and did my hair and the next day/24 hours later on my birthday my hair didn't look at all like I had sat for hours to get my hair done. The new product dried out my hair, gave my hair a dull, gritty and unhealthy look and feel! I called Toya back to complain about the hair issue. She caught an attitude and blamed me, the consumer/client that even tipped her! Toya did not even have the class nor consideration to give me a discount for my birthday! She reluctantly said she would
During my first visit I walked in for my appointment time, went straight to the shampoo bowl and began my treatment. My stylist was Cassie and she did a great job. However, I had an allergic reaction to an oil that was placed in my hair and had to get it washed out of my hair a few days later as a result. The hair salon's manager had no problem accommodating me and providing this service again free of charge which was a relief. I also love that they are open everyday of the week which works well with my busy work schedule. They were easy to work with, pleasant, and provided great service.
