JCPenney Salon

This JC Penny is by my house and I decided to come because I never gave it a chance in regards to beauty products. Today I went hopeful I would have a good experience like at Ulta or Sephora. NOPE. Not once was I asked if I needed help. I was ignored by staff. Won’t be coming back.

First off the price on the internet is not what I paid. On Sunday Maria permed my hair. She said oh the ends didn’t curl bc you have bleach. Not true I haven’t even colored my hair. I got home and my hair started falling out and breaking. It’s so chemically damaged I couldn’t pick it! I had to cut all my hair today!! Do not let her perm your hair!!

What I thought would be a great experience turned out to be a horrible experience! I had my daughter scheduled today for a service for school on Tuesday! This morning at 10:07 the stylist called me to arrive earlier to my appointment schedule I agree, once I arrive before the 5:00pm appointment the lady at the front gets us checked in and was very very nice and professional and tried to help as much as she could! Then I was told to wait maybe 20 mins to be seen I said that’s fine I will wait then I’m told well they set the alarm at 7:00pm and we have to be out of here at that time so she wouldn’t have time to do my daughter hair! Then the young lady that was helping told me the stylist took her client because the client was unhappy with her and seen how she did another clients hair and wan

They will try to scam you. Not sure who runs this place but from experience a Hispanic lady and also Erica both just want quick money. Either from trying to charge for a blow dry when it’s included with the haircut to not even taking the time to cut the hair properly. Even Supercuts will at least wet your whole head and cut it in sections for $15, here all they will do is wet the ends and just straight cut no sections or nothing. Taking advantage of a new client not knowing what the services are even meant to include. If you plan on going here take 2 seconds to search for prices they will literally scam you if you don’t know. Or honestly don’t even waste your time. Pretty sad how money hungry they are.

The salon prices are never the same even if you go the next week for the samething. They always want to cut your hair for extra money and claim you have split ends even if you don't. If you say don't trim or cut your hair they will sneak and do so. Especially, the salon manager. Their prices are ridiculous. I simply wanted a shampoo and flat iron and was charged $65, the prior week it was $37 by the same stylist. Their all about money and cutting your hair.
