I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Sonia, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I got my hair dyed jet black, along with a haircut, treatment, wash, blow-dry, and styling. My hair looks absolutely stunning, so vibrant and full of life compared to how dull and damaged it looked before. Sonia’s hands are truly blessed! She worked her magic and made me feel like a Broadway model. The entire salon experience was wonderful, everyone was so sweet, attentive, and welcoming. I highly recommend Sonia to anyone who wants to leave looking and feeling their best. Trust me, she will not disappoint! Look at my before and after pictures. My long hair was so damaged and look at the after picture where it shows my hair cut beautifully.

1st timer at Jcpenney salon. Ms. D from Louisiana was my stylist! She was so nice and gentle on my head. I really appreciate her patience while doing my hair. And she is very experienced! I look forward to going back and referring friends and family to her. My deep conditioning and silk press came out A1! Thank you so much.

If I could give this salon a 0 star rating I would. I made an appointment to have my daughter’s hair curled for prom. I didn’t want it washed or anything, just curled. When I got to the salon the girl who was supposed to do my daughter’s hair wasn’t there so they put us with someone else. I showed her a picture of some curls and there was a little twist on the sides to go around the back. I asked her if she could do that and she said yes no problem. The curls that she did versus the curls from the picture are not even close to the same thing. She did the twists to the back and had put a few Bobby pins in to hold it in. This is in no way an attack on the business, it’s just regarding a certain middle age black lady with short hair. I came in for a blowout. It seemed like she did not even know what a blowout was. I even showed her a reference pic from the last time I was at the same salon. She still did not understand. She dried my hair straight with a hair dryer and then curled my hair using a flat iron. It looked okay from the front, but when I got home my family started laughing at me because it looked so horrendous from the back and looked really flat from the top. I called her back and she said she will not refund me because “i paid for her time” like yes I paid for your time because I thought you were skilled. You clearly are not. Michelle at the JC Penney Salon is amazing and truly saved the day! I had a photo shoot scheduled for a business headshot which is intended to be presented on a big screen at a national conference. In preparation for the photo, I had scheduled an appointment at a local salon to get my hair professionally styled. Prior to the appointment, I had called to inquire what the cost would be for having my hair done in a basic style with curls and was quoted a price. After arriving for the appointment and waiting to be seen, I was advised that they couldn’t curl hair as they don’t have a curling iron and don’t provide that service as they primarily just cut hair.
