JCPenney Salon

I took my son (age 15) for a cut. I usually go to the JC penny in Pittsburgh but I was not in Pittsburgh this time. They asked if it was a student cut I said I guess so because I never usually go in for a student cut I just get his hair cut. I showed her a simple pic went and sat down and not 10mins later he came over saying he was done but he had hair all over his face and neck and his hair was chopped bad!! I never have this issues at the other JC penny salon so I thought it would be the same here. If you do not have the time to do a proper cut then please do not do it! I had to get it fixed because it was that bad!

I went to this salon because the one that I normally go to closed. I went for a wash and a trim. While washing, the stylist was super rough on my hair. At that point, I should have left. I told her I wanted one and a half to two inches off to even out the length and get rid of my layers. I told her I wanted some face framing pieces but that is it when it came to layers. She must've been cutting my hair for over an hour. She seemed too busy talking to her coworker and apparently forgot what I asked for. At the end, she insisted that the previous person who cut my hair did it wrong, when I was very pleased with my past haircut and the last stylist gave me what I asked for. Natalie is THE best!!! I got a last-minute appointment for my first time at this salon, and I am blown away with Natalie's skill and professionalism! Natalie magically understood what I wanted, made it happen beautifully, and now I feel like a million bucks!!! Highly recommend!

In my journey to find a new stylist, I came across a very convenient location at JCPenney. I spoke to a few stylists, asking different questions and searching online for just the right person. There happened to be a Master Stylist who was very highly recommended from the other stylists. I set up an appointment to have an initial consultation, dimensional color, and any type of treatment available to keep my hair healthy and strong. I found the system to be very similar to my previous salon, (Ulta) where the "levels" are based on experience, and prices are set differently for each level. My hair is *very* tricky, but I was incredibly lucky to not only find a true Master, but someone with extremely similar hair with the same issues, and the NICEST person one could ever find!! According to internet pricing ....childrens haircuts are 14.00. Got charged 20.00 and when questioning the price they said they are now 20.00!!!! Terrible haircut on my 8 yr old grandson....it was long on one side and short on the other. I told her about it and she redid it and it looks worse! Before he got great haircuts there....well NOT no more. Not going back there again.
